Strategic Account Manager

What we're looking for

Bloom Health is looking to bring a Minnesota-based Strategic Account Manager aboard who is enthusiastic about building long-term relationships and providing unparalleled customer service to a diverse range of clients. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate through past experience and interests that they have the skills and passion vital to ensuring continued success with our health plan partners.

Responsibilities

  • Perform as Strategic Account Manager for assigned health plan partner(s); Act as main point of contact for assigned health plan questions, concerns, etc. and service the designated health plan’s needs end-to-end
  • Consult with designated health plan(s) in shaping their customized Defined Contribution solution in coordination with the Sales Team
  • Assist the Sales Team in developing best in class communication materials and presentations as it relates to the health plan(s)
  • Work directly with Bloom’s Product Managers on building the best possible solutions to meet all clients’ needs
  • Build positive and productive relationships with assigned health plan(s) to ensure these key clients are successfully serviced
  • Negotiate tight timelines (internal and external) to ensure processes are in place at the right time; Communicate these priorities to all relevant parties as necessary
  • Partner with Implementation Team to ensure project plans, technology resources, and client timeline expectations are developed and managed appropriately
  • Ensure proper and measurable account services metrics are in place, monitored and communicated as it relates to assigned clients
  • Routinely recommend new processes to continuously improve the service Bloom provides; Collaborate closely with internal functions to execute accordingly
  • Oversee the variability/change requests from health plan partners with internal technology and business teams
  • Additional projects and duties as assigned by the Head of Account Services

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Communication, Business Administration or other relevant topics
  • Minimum of 7 years in a related role, ideally managing relationships in the health care space
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain effective, respectful and trusting relationships with clients (internal and external), consumers and colleagues representing varying needs, personalities and styles
  • Must be dedicated to exceeding internal and external customer/consumer expectations and have an unwavering propensity to keep the end user in mind
  • Critical attention to detail; must be able to handle the technical aspects of this role and learn Bloom’s current processes quickly
  • Desire to develop this key business area while being cognizant of Bloom’s broader business objectives
  • Tenacity to deal with ambiguity and to effectively solve problems by embracing Bloom’s highly dynamic, constantly-changing environment
  • Capable of assertively voicing opinions and ideas in the spirit of challenging and improving the organization and talent whilst being open and supportive of others’ thoughts and feedback
  • Track record of producing great results by taking smart risks and reacting to the business needs in real time
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with little direction and innate desire to seek out new projects and challenges without prompting
  • Must have inherent, authentic interest in continuous learning to develop oneself within Bloom’s emerging growth organization, as well as to help evolve Bloom’s products, initiatives and successes
  • Ability to travel as needed (up to 25%)
