    Abir Sen

    CEO

    Prior to founding Bloom Health, Abir was the co-founder and President of RedBrick Health. Under his leadership, RedBrick Health launched the industry-leading Health Earnings system, created innovative product and distribution partnerships, and achieved health improvement results that far outstripped any of RedBrick Health’s competitors.

    Before co-founding RedBrick Health, Abir co-founded Definity Health and was part of the team that invented the Personal Care Account, the predecessor to the Health Savings Account. Abir has also worked as an advisor to Fidelity Investment’s Health and Welfare Business, where he helped launch Fidelity’s benefit consulting business. He began his career at Deloitte Consulting, where he advised large managed care organizations and integrated delivery systems on M&A and turnaround strategies.

    Abir has a B.A. in Economics from Lawrence University and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School. Other than health care, Abir’s interests include aviation, border collies and U2.

    Kevin Kickhaefer

    Sales & Market Development

    Kevin leads our sales and distribution efforts across all segments and markets.

    Kevin brings unique skills to Bloom Health having led national sales and new business initiatives for several fortune 500 Companies. Most recently, Kevin developed and managed innovative and successful new business relationships as the Vice President of National Accounts at CIGNA HealthCare. Prior to CIGNA, Kevin was the Sales Director at Aetna in Chicago where he built and expanded its mid-size and large employer markets. Kevin has been recognized nationally for leading the country in sales for both companies.

    Kevin has a B.S. in Finance & Accounting from Kansas State University. In his downtime, he manages a cattle ranch in Kansas and enjoys working out, golfing and spending time with his wife Suzanne, son Ty and daughter Chase.

    Mike Fortner

    Sales

    Mike drives sales and distribution at Bloom Health, working with large and small employers, as well as brokers and consultants.

    Mike’s experience includes being a principal at Monterey Benefits, an employee benefits consulting firm, where he was voted by employers to the Top 5% Broker List. Prior to Bloom, Mike held leadership positions in sales at HealthEquity, the Stanton Group, and Great-West.

    Mike has his M.B.A. from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management and serves on the Board of Directors of Love INC and Angelcar. In his free time, Mike enjoys spending time with his family and volunteering.

    Ron LeMasters

    Sales

    Ron is responsible for leading Sales in the Indiana market, working with large and small employers, brokers and consultants.

    Ron has worked with Indiana clients developing effective benefit strategies and programs to deliver long-term employer goals for the last 20 years. Ron comes from CIGNA, where he was selling large and small employer benefits and wellness programs.

    Ron has a B.S in Public Health and Health Administration from Indiana University. In his free time Ron enjoys running, biking, and exercising with his family.

    Jill Prevost

    Customer Experience

    Jill is responsible for Bloom’s product design and customer experience.

    Prior to starting Bloom, Jill led innovation and consumer engagement at RedBrick Health. She created a strong brand platform based on consumer insights and market research and led the design and launch of several new web-based health programs establishing RedBrick Health as a leading innovator in the industry.

    Prior to RedBrick Health, Jill was a Marketing Manager at Life Time Fitness, where she led marketing activities for the fitness and nutrition division, nationally. Before Lifetime Fitness, Jill led the launch of a brand refresh for Caribou Coffee and created marketing and public relations programs for its new store openings.

    Jill has a B.A. in Business Management from Hamline University and an M.B.A. from the University of St. Thomas. In her spare time Jill enjoys competing in triathlons, running, and spending time with her family.

    Kent Tangen

    Technology & Product

    Kent leads the Development team at Bloom.

    Kent brings unique skills to Bloom having led several e-commerce and technology initiatives at emerging global companies. Kent was an early employee at Amazon.com, where he was responsible for the development efforts to create Amazon’s Associate program, which helped transform the company from a single product company to the largest e-commerce site in the world. He also led the initial implementation of the Pharmacy Benefits Website and mail order Pharmacy program at Prime Therapeutics. Most recently, Kent was VP of Engineering at Dow Jones where he led product and development efforts for MarketWatch.com and was responsible for development teams supporting the Wall Street Journal Digital Network, including WSJ.com.

    Kent has a B.A. Business Administration and Management Information Systems from Augsburg College. Kent and his wife have a son and daughter. When he is not working, he enjoys reading, working out and coaching football.

    Manny Menendez

    Business Development

    Manny drives strategic sales at Bloom Health, working with large-sized businesses in all markets.

    Before joining Bloom, Manny was the Health & Benefits Large Segment Market Manager at the Chicago office of Aon Hewitt, where he advised national employers on developing strategic direction for their health and welfare programs including consumerism, behavior modification and measurement approaches. As a Principal with Aon Hewitt, Manny helped employers understand and respond to the implications of healthcare reform while shaping the strategic direction of Aon Hewitt’s Health and Benefits consulting segment and creating a multi-million dollar market.

    Manny has a B.A. in Finance and Spanish from the University of Iowa and an M.B.A. from DePaul University. When he’s not working, Manny enjoys wine tasting, running, and cheering for the Iowa Hawkeyes. He lives in the Chicago area with his wife, son and daughter.

    Trevor Fast

    Actuarial Services

    Trevor is responsible for Bloom Health’s actuarial functions, including model development, employer financial forecasting, and sales support.

    Prior to joining Bloom, Trevor was an actuary and health benefits consultant at Aon Hewitt. Within leading-edge benefit design concepts, health care measurement, and benchmarking teams, he led methodological review and model building. As a part of Hewitt’s core Health Care Reform team he provided consulting expertise on Actuarial Values and Value-Based Insurance Design to members of the United States Senate during health care reform deliberations.

    Trevor has a B.S. in Mathematics and Statistics from Kansas State University and an M.S. in Mathematics from the University of Michigan. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries. In his free time, Trevor enjoys traveling, playing poker, and tending to his saltwater aquarium at his home in the Detroit area.

    Marek Ciolko

    Business Operations

    Marek is responsible for finance and all legal, regulatory and compliance matters.

    Marek comes to Bloom from Best Buy Mobile, where he managed the implementation of a new e-commerce platform for retailing mobile phones online, and the development of a new business unit based on this new platform. Prior to Best Buy, Marek was a Director of Operations and one of the earliest employees at Red Brick Health, where he built company’s service delivery operations from the ground up.

    Before joining RedBrick Health, Marek was a Senior Manager at Deloitte where he spent 10 years working with Fortune 500 companies on developing and implementing their enterprise application strategies. In addition to client service, Marek was part of the leadership of Deloitte’s regional Enterprise Applications practice and was responsible for knowledge development, staff mentoring and business development activities.

    Marek has a B.A. in Economics and Computer Science from Macalester College. Marek is an enthusiastic traveler, and depending on the time of the year he and his wife can often be found skiing, scuba diving, or exploring the world’s wine regions.

    Sara Evans

    Human Resources

    Sara is responsible for recruiting and retaining the extraordinary team needed to achieve Bloom Health’s mission. Sara brings a wealth of experience to the Bloom Health team having worked in a variety of executive level roles within industry-leading organizations.

    Before joining Bloom Health, Sara was the Chief Talent Officer at RedBrick Health, where she oversaw all human resources functions, including organizational effectiveness, leadership development, talent relations and compensation/benefits. Prior to RedBrick, Sara was the Vice President of Human Resources at Spanlink and its spin off, Calabrio, Inc. She was also Vice President, Human Resources at Definity Health. Prior to Definity Health, Sara served as Global HR Generalist and Corporate Recruiter for Cargill.

    Sara holds a B.A. in Business Management/Human Resources. During her downtime, Sara enjoys running, boating with family and yoga.

    John Vlajkovic

    Business Development

    John drives strategic sales at Bloom Health, working with large-sized businesses in all markets.

    John joins Bloom after a 26 year career at Aon Hewitt, where he advised employers on the development of innovative benefit designs. As a Principal, John played a key role in developing and advancing the strategic direction for Aon Hewitt’s Health and Benefits consulting practice. John is a nationally recognized expert in employer benefit strategies and has been at the forefront of introducing new concepts to the market. He was member of Aon Hewitt’s Leadership Group, as well as a member of its Large Market Steering Committee.

    John has a B.A. in Psychology from Augustana College and a Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration from the University of Iowa. He spends his free time watching sports of all kind, reading, and playing golf. He lives in the Chicago area with his wife, two daughters and dog.

    Sheri Beck

    Compliance Lead

    Sheri leads all of Bloom’s regulatory and compliance initiatives.

    Sheri has deep experience leading regulatory and compliance activities across a variety of industries. With a career spanning over thirty years, she has worked extensively in general corporate law as well as regulatory compliance, for large and small companies. Prior to joining Bloom, she was responsible for State and Federal regulatory compliance for the institutional and retail retirement products areas within Ameriprise Financial Services, including qualified plan product development, state and federal regulatory audits, advertising compliance and privacy matters. Prior to Ameriprise, Sheri was an attorney with the law firm of Henson & Efron.

    Sheri graduated Magna Cum Laude from William Mitchell College of Law. In her spare time, she enjoys biking, tennis, going to movies and spending time with her son and partner.
