Business Analyst

What we're looking for

Bloom Health is looking for a Business Analyst who can successfully partner with product managers and the development team to translate business requirements into creative and practical solutions. The analyst must also effectively work across operations, sales, and other key teams to develop high-quality product documents and artifacts.

Responsibilities

  • Quickly understand process issues, data challenges and business opportunities
  • Create and translate business requirements for internal and external facing web and phone applications into innovative and practical solutions that support operational efficiency and the excellence of the organization
  • Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance
  • Ensure that issues and action items are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner
  • Support software testing processes and the QA team to ensure business requirements are fully satisfied
  • Support product managers and subject matter experts in product planning and documentation, from concept through launch and future releases
  • Lead or support other projects as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in relevant topics
  • 3-5 years related experience
  • Proven ability to get results and thrive in an unstructured and evolving environment, including working creatively as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with demonstrated ability to reprioritize across multiple projects and excellent attention to detail
  • Exposure to all aspects of product lifecycle planning and experience in creating and maintaining product documentation templates
  • Proven analysis and design skills using structured techniques for requirements identification, analysis and design including use cases, process design and data modeling
  • Familiarity with customer-facing web applications as well as phone-based customer support functions
  • A demonstrated understanding of enterprise applications including support for reliability, availability and security
  • Strong understanding of Software Engineering Principles and Practices particularly object oriented design methods
  • A strong understanding in the areas of application programming and database design
  • Experience with XML, SOAP, Web Services, .JSP, JavaScript, and HTML preferred

  • Experience with MAC systems
  • Experience with Agile Methodology
  • Experience in health insurance industry
