Bloom Health - a defined contribution company

Bloom for Bloom

To be honest, everyone could use a little help navigating the complex world of health benefits. We at Bloom Health are no exception. After months of hard work (OK, and some blood, sweat and tears), Bloom launched Bloom Health for its own employees on May 3. We’re happy to be walking the talk.

“We have the unique opportunity to design and kick the tires of this fresh approach of health benefit purchasing for our employees,” said Sara Evans of Human Resources at Bloom. “We are fortunate to work with the most talented group of industry experts who have seamlessly led us through the process.”

We’re excited to give our employees the first-hand Bloom experience — the uncommon experience of having a “health care personal shopper” help us select the right health insurance plans and other health services based on our lifestyles and needs. And in a way that’s simple and fun. Nope, this isn’t your usual health insurance shopping experience.

After testing out Bloom ourselves across the next few weeks, we’ll kick off partnerships with our first employer clients at the end of May, continuing to add clients throughout 2010 in diverse industries, including technology start-ups, retailers, health care providers, entertainment and agriculture. We have a solution that fits any industry.

Founded in 2009 and based in Minneapolis, Bloom is dedicated to helping people take control of their health benefits. Simply put, we do two things. One, we help employers define and control their health benefits spending. Two, we help employees and individuals spend their health benefit dollars wisely. And we do it in a way that’s different, and easier, than anything else out there.
